Tattooed by the wind: Finding freedom and understanding from A triumph Bonneville T-110 sidecar, as a person with disabilities

Hello again dear reader,

I may have mentioned in a previous article (if not then I'm doing it now) That I am a huge motorcycle enthusiast. I ride in a Triumph Bonneville T- 110,with a sidecar. Before you ask, no I don't drive the motorcycle myself, due to my significant disability (cerebral palsy aka CP) I can't pilot the sidecar. This means, of course, that I ride in the “monkey” Position, this is the slang term for the person riding in the sidecar. This term comes from sidecar racing, as the passenger in the sidecar has to maneuver their weight to help the pilot keep the sidecar stable during the race; the passenger look like they were jumping around like a monkey and the term stuck. I absolutely love, being the monkey in the sidecar. As a person with a severe disability, it gives me a unique perspective on the world.
